Building T9, the post hospital, was built in 1911 as part of the reconstruction of the fort that took place from 1904 to 1912.

The hospital is a 3 1/2 storey building on the southern edge of the grounds, set back from A Road. It is Spanish Mission in style, as are most of the larger buildings built in the fort during the period.
