One of the major laboratories at the Canadian Science Centre for Human and Animal Health is the National Microbiology Laboratory(NML) which is a modern state-of-the-art facility which houses the NML's Biological Safety Level (BSL 4) containment laboratory. This containment laboratory is currently Canada's only operational BSL 4 laboratory and one of just 15 such laboratories in the world.
