Mary, daughter of Jewish Judea, is the mother of Jesus of Nazareth. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches agree an essential role to Mary, they call Mary of Nazareth, Holy Virgin, Our Lady (more often among Catholics), or Mother of God (as in orthodox among Catholics). It is often represented on the lawn of a church or gives its name to the chapel attached to it.
