Hold Up Bluffs is only about 3 or 4 miles south of the Kookanusa Bridge on the west side of Kookanusa Lake, on the east side of Highway 37. One can park pretty much right at the site.
The
Hold Up Bluffs area has nine separate climbs available, rated from 5.10 to 5.9. They vary in height from about 50 feet to 75 feet though, again, they looked higher than that to us non-climbers. There were three separate groups there the afternoon we stopped to watch.
