The picturesque chapel of St Monica and St Augustin was built in 1997-1998 in small village Vresice, near town Letovice. The foundation stone of the chapel was consecrated by Pope John Paul II during his visit to Prague in 1997. On August 30,1998 was the chapel consecrated by Bishop of Brno. Ground plan of the chapel represent shape of a tear. It symbolize tears of St Monica which she shed for her son, St Augustin. The chapel built according to a design of Ing. Jiri Mach from Brno is 12,5 meters long, 8 meters wide and 12 meters high.
