This bronze sculpture is probably a bit larger than life-sized. It depicts Pope John Paul II in full Papal vestments and with outstretched arms. He carries a crucifix on a long staff with his left hand. The artist is not revealed at the site but the plaque thanks the Pope for his visits to Vienna in 1983, 1988 and 1998.

He was canonized as a Saint on April 27, 2014.
