La gare de Mont-Joli fut inaugurée en 1913. Elle est présentement occupée par Via Rail et continue de servir la population de Mont-Joli et des environs. Inaugurated in 1913, the Mont-Joli train station continues to serve the Mont-Joli population.

C'est le chemin de fer l'Intercolonial qui donne naissance à la Ville de Mont-Joli. En choisissant Sainte-Flavie Station (Mont-Joli) comme un de ses centres d'entretien, l'Intercolonial attire aussitôt des cheminots et leurs familles. Au premier janvier 1874, on compte déjà près de soixante-dix hommes qui travaillent pour le chemin de fer.

C'est le 23 octobre 1880 que l'honorable Théodore Robitaille, Lieutenant-Gouverneur de la Province de Québec proclame officiellement l'érection municipale du village de Mont-Joli.

La première gare de Sainte-Flavie Station a été construite en 1874. Cependant, pour assurer un meilleur service aux passagers, la vieille station de l'Intercolonial sera remplacée par une nouvelle gare. Celle-ci fut inaugurée en 1913.

It is the Intercolonial Railway which gave birth to the City of Mont-Joli. By choosing Sainte-Flavie Station (Mont-Joli) as one of its service centers, the Intercolonial Railway almost immediately attracted railway workers and their families. On the 1st of January 1874, there were nearly seventy men who worked for the railroad.

It is on October 23, 1880, that the Honourable Théodore Robitaille, Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of Québec, officially proclaimed the creation of the town of Mont-Joli.

The first train station in Sainte-Flavie Station was built in 1874. However, to ensure a better service to passengers, the old Intercolonial station was replaced by a new station. It was inaugurated in 1913.
