The Bissell Bridge is one of four existing covered bridges built in Massachusetts in the 20th century. It is a two lane covered bridge crossing the Mill Brook. The bridge spans a rocky gorger that is 15 to 20 feet deep. On the north side of the bridge the water cascades over the remnants of a stone dam. The bridge construction is a long thru truss bridge spanning 92 feet.
