Calvin Coolidge during his residential life in Northampton, served as mayor, state senator and governor, vice president and the 30th president of the United States. In 1929 Calvin Coolidge returned to Northampton, resuming his legal career until he died in 1933. From 1906 to 1930 he lived at this location and then moved to "The Beeches"
