Middleton Place is a Low Country rice plantation outside Charleston, SC. Rice fields were flooded from the nearby Ashley River and eventually processed in the onsite Mill.

Middleton Place was the home of four generations of the Middleton family from 1741 to 1865.

Records indicate that William Middleton constructed this Mill onsite in 1851.
