I de gamle røde fabriksbygninger fra 1926 husede tidligere en molerfarbrik, men produktionen af moler standsede i 1982. I mange år henlå fabrikken tom indtil den blev istandsat i 1997. Det var dog stadig ikke klart, hvad der bygningerne skulle bruges til. I 2003 fik ejeren Mogens Fog den ide at indrette et mikrobryggeri og sidenhen kom også en restaurant til. Bryggeriet har årligt 30.000 besøgende og specialøl fra Fur Bryghus er populær i hele landet.
In the old red factory buildings from 1926 there used to be a grinding plant. The production of moler clay stopped in 1982 and the building were left empty. In 1997 the buildings were restores but still nobody knew what to do with them. The owner Mogens Fog got the idea to make a micro brewery in 2003 and today there is also a restaurant here. About 30.000 people visit the brewery every year and the beers brewed here are popular in Denmark.
