U Maleho Glena is popular, friendly bar and jazz club in the Lesser Town (Malá Strana) area of Prague, located 5 minutes walk from Charles Bridge.
There is a regular bar upstairs, furnished in a mix of Czech and American styles with plenty of dark chunky wood, and illuminated by spotlights (the owner of U Maleho Glena is American).
They serve a range of cold beers, wines and spirits, including a good draught Guinness, which is not that easy to find in Prague. The relaxed atmosphere, cosy size and friendly staff make this a good bar for all ages groups.
Downstairs at U Maleho Glena is one of the smallest jazz clubs in the city, where live jazz and blues is played every night from 9:30pm.
Jam sessions take place every Sunday, plus there is the unmissable ‘Stan the Man and his Bohemian Blues Band’ every Monday. Stan’s performance is the longest-running Blues gig in Prague.
