This is the Central Station of the Northern Garrett County Rescue Squad as it opened in 2004. This station was planned as the move from the former Accident station after planned merger of it and the Friendsville Stations was nixed in May of 2001.
The station provides emergency services to the ever-popular WISP ski resort as well as Deep Creek Lake.
