Guarding the entrance to their fraternity house are a pair of majestic golden lions, each one holding in its paw a logo of the fraternity.
Today Sigma Alpha Epsilon occupies a large Victorian style house in the old residential neighbourhood just off campus. The house is at 1120 Gerald Avenue, four blocks west of the U of M campus. Their nickname is SAE.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon is the largest international fraternity in the world, having the most active members and alumni. Nationally, we were founded March 9, 1856 at The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. The Montana chapter (Montana Beta) was founded February 12, 1927.
SAE thrives on academics while comprising an active social calendar and athletic program.
