The memorial is in the form of a metal plaque mounted on a slate backing. The plaque is located on a gate post in the garden.

The plaque carries the crest of the Normandy veterans Association at the top of the plaque. The inscription reads

IN MEMORY OF OUR COMRADES WHO GAVE

THEIR LIVES IN THE BATTLE OF NORMANDY

6TH JUNE TO THE 20TH AUGUST 1944

AND THE FOLLOWING BATTLES

WHICH LED TO THE LIBERATION OF

WESTERN EUROPE

V.E. DAY 8TH MAY 1945
