This station is a NGS standard vertical control mark, located in Redding, CT. It is set in top of a rock outcrop at the east edge of Pinetree Road.

The NGS description is as follows:

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1985
3.3 KM (2.05 MI) SOUTH FROM REDDING RIDGE.
2.3 KM (1.4 MI) SOUTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 58 FROM THE JUNCTION OF
CROSS HIGHWAY IN REDDING RIDGE, THENCE 1.0 KM (0.65 MI) SOUTHEAST
ALONG PINE TREE ROAD TO THE MARK ON THE LEFT, 4.2 METERS (14.0 FT)
NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF PINE TREE ROAD, 8.3 METERS (27.5 FT)
NORTHEAST OF POWER POLE 14.
THE MARK IS 0.70 METERS SE FROM A WITNESS POST
THE MARK IS 0.61 M ABOVE ROAD.

Pinetree Road is a narrow roadway that is frequently traveled by local traffic, so use caution. The mark is on the inside of a curve. Park vehicle off the west side of the road at the curve. The mark is on a rock outcrop above the road, just south of a witness post.
