Located in the Comal Cemetery on the west side of Avenue B (Area 6A). A 1936 Centennial Highway Marker on a small plot inside an iron fence.

Ferdinand Jacob Lindheimer was born in Germany and emigrated to Texas via Illinois and Mexico. Lindheimer enlisted in the army and served under the command of John Coffee Hays until 1837. He spent many years collecting plant specimens across Texas. He was later served as editor of the Neu Braunfelser Zeitung newspaper for 20 years.
