This Czechoslovak post stamp issued in 1985, devoted to Prague castle, depicts entrance gate to the 1st Castle Courtyard, also called "Gigant's Gate" together with buldings of one wing of the Royal palace.
This ornate entrance gate at the Castle Square leads to the 1st Castle courtyard, where on the hour you can watch uniformed palace guards parade during the Change of the Guards. The Baroque entrance gate is decorated with large sculptures of fighting giants and putti, some of them with crowned lion or eagle.
