A roundabout at the three way junction of the A484 and B4297, at the entrance to the County of Carmarthenshire, features this sculpture. I think it looks like a modern Maypole, some say it looks like a Sail, the Council nickname is a rather unflatering 'the cheese grater' The actual name given by the artist, designer, Colin Rose is 'Swirl Cone' The sculpture comes alive at dusk as there are a series of coloured lights at the center of this art work that reflect changing coloured lights on to the wires, however the effect is a little lost, as the area is bathed in orange street lighting.
