The Patterson House at 4 Loudoun Street, S.E., also known as McCabe's Tavern, was constructed circa 1760 in the Georgian style. Built of random rubble stone, the massive building is two stories in height and five bays in width. Typical of the style, it features an ornate, heavy molded wood cornice and evenly spaced 6x6 double-hung, wood sash windows.

- Historic District Nomination

The former residence has now been converted to offices for a law firm and a title company.  The house is in excellent condition.
