The park overlooks sporting grounds & is situated along the banks of a small creek. There are several interpretative signs outlining the town's history & all have displays of yesteryear. The Portland Cement Works are nearby & you can compare what they looked like in their heyday to their dilapidated state today. Portland Cement was used extensively in Sydney so much so that it is agreed that Portland Cement built Sydney.

There are no facilities for children. Amenities are located at the western end of the park.
