Harry Potter is a child wizard, famous for having survived an attack by Lord Voldemort, that killed his parents. Harry attends Hogwarts School, along with his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Grainger.

Harry Ron and Hermione find a three headed dog at Hogwarts and realise that it is guarding the Philosophers Stone, a stone that can grant immortality to its owner. Harry believes that his poisons teacher, Severus Snape, is also looking for the stone in order to restore Voldemort to his full strength. The trio decide to find the stone before Snape can.

Hagrid tells them that the three headed dog will fall asleep if played music. In addition to the dog the trio have to face a deadly plant, flying keys and win a deadly chess game. Hermione defeats the plant, Harry gets them past the keys and Ron wins the chess match. Ron is injured and Harry goes on alone.

In the final room Harry finds out that Snape is not his enemy, but Professor Quirrell, the Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher, is. Quirrell forces Harry to look into the Mirror of Erised. After looking in the mirror the stone appears in Harry’s pocket. Quirrell removes his turban to reveal Voldemort living on the back of his head. Harry manages to kill Quirrell and Voldermort’s spirit flees. After the ordeal Harry wakes up in the school’s hospital. Dumbledore tells him that the stone has been destroyed and that Ron and Hermione are safe.
