The commercial building was built in 1907, just as downtown Nampa was being modernized. A fire in 1909 did not affect this building, but made it necessary for many surrounding buildings to be rebuilt in the same style.
This building is built in a Renaissance Revival style with decorative brickwork forming corbel work and a cornice like raised courses. The brickwork was originally tan colored but has grayed since then.
