Dopravní podnik mesta Brna provozuje od roku 1946 na Brnenské prehrade vlastní lodní dopravu. Od roku 2012 používá celkem pet vetších dvoupalubových (pojmenovaných po partnerských mestech Lipsko, Víden, Utrecht, Dallas a Stuttgart) a jednu menší jednopalubovou lod (Brno), všechny jsou poháneny elektromotorem. Lode jezdí z prístavište v Bystrci, okolo hradu Veverí do Veverské Bítýšky, obce nacházející se již za hranicemi Brna, v rozšírené letní sezóne (od konce dubna do poloviny ríjna). Plavba plavby z Bystrce do Veverské Bítíšky trvá 1 hodinu a 10 minut.

Transport company of Brno City since 1946 at the Brno dam operates own shipping. Since 2012, uses a total of five major "two decks" (named after partner cities Leipzig, Vienna, Utrecht, Dallas and Stuttgart) and one smaller ship "one deck" (Brno), all of which are driven by an electric motor. Boats leave from the pier in Bystrci around the castle Veverí to Veverské Bítýška, municipalities situated outside the already Brno, in the extended summer season (from late April to mid-October). Cruise sailing from Bystrc to Veverské Bítíšky takes 1 hour and 10 minutes.
