The Brevnov Monastery alias Brevnov Benedictine Archabbey of St. Adalbert and St. Margaret, founded by Czech martyr St. Vojtech (Adalbert) and Duke Boleslav II in 993, is the oldest monastery in the Czech lands.

CZ: Znakem benediktinského kláštera v Břevnově jsou (někdy se spojují do jednoho). V pravém modrém štítu je zlaté ostrvové břevno, v levém modrém štítu pak tři stříbrné kosmé pruhy, z nichž prostřední nese tři zlaté růže. Nad pravým štítem stojí opatská mitra, za levým štítem berla. Tento složitý znak užíval sám opat, kdežto převor mohl užívat jen štít s břevnem, zatímco konvent zas jen štít s pruhy a růžemi. Stejný znak měl i klášter v Broumově, rajhradský klášter měl jen štít s pruhy a růžemi.
ENG: CoA is composed of two shields. The right one, blue, has golden knot pole ("ostrev") in the center. The left one, also blue, has three skewed silver bands, where the middle band bears three golden roses. This complicated CoA was used only by abbots if the Abbey (Archabbey).
