[NL] Deze toren is gebouwd in 1918 en ontworpen door architect J.M. Luthmann in Art Deco Beton style. De toren is speciaal gebruikt voor het koelen van de zend installatie van Radio Kootwijk. Deze installatie was een lange golf zender en had voor die tijd erg veel vermogen nodig om helemaal een verbinding met Nederlands Indie te kunnen onderhouden. De toren is nu een monument en niet meer in gebruik.

[EN]This tower was built in 1918 and designed by architect JM Luthmann in Art Deco concrete style. The tower has been used to cool the transmitter installation Radio Kootwijk . This installation was a long wave transmitter and needed much power for the transmitter to maintain the radio connection to the Dutch Indies. The tower is now a monument and no longer in use.
