This is a large, two-story tan brick building, with the main entrance on the east. This entrance has a raised roof line, with an elaborate frieze with five carvings. This facade has five window bays, separated by brick pilasters. Each bay has three tall double hung windows with transom on the ground floor, with smaller windows and an arched lintel on the second floor. Between the first and second-floor windows are stone carved panels and filagree work. A seven-step concrete staircase leads to double doors with sidelights and transoms. Concrete handicapped ramps have been added at this entrance. The architects are the well-known Hawk & Parr.
Windows in the side sections of the building are set in singles and triples. To the left of the main entrance facade, a recessed entry has a carved stone surround, with Stonewall Jackson engraved and a stone shield with the initials "SJ". The school is located at 2601 S. Villa at S.W. 26th Street.
