This festival is heading into its third year and, unlike the Bacon Festival which busted miserably, has been very well received.
Here's their event description:
"This feast day is filled with great eats, local shopping, and a bunch of exciting performances. Moveable Feast curates a selection of 35 of the best taco trucks from all over the Bay Area serving their best rendition of a taco. All plates are $5.00 or less with a selection of short rib tacos, nacho tacos, Vietnamese shrimp tacos, and even ice cream tacos--just to name a few.
Everyone's favorite tacos are judged by a celebrity panel! If your favorite taco tops the scoreboard in quality and presentation, then rest-assured they'll bask in the taco limelight. Get it, limes...tacos...limelight...
Though tacos are the main attraction, peruse the various entertainment acts with a beverage in hand and the scent of pico de gallo wafting through the air.
Check-out the SJMADE Street Mart Vendors showcasing art, jewelry, clothing, and other various local goods. Look forward to a “Concert in the Park” musical line-up now with TWO separate stages with various live musical acts throughout the day.
Watch a riveting Luche Libre (Mexican-style masked wrestling) match at a full wrestling ring. Hosting the third annual US Air Accordion Championship (USAAC) competition? Yes, as strange as that sounds--or doesn't sound--find that at the San Jose Taco Festival of Innovation!
