On the heels of their other popular events, Moveable Feast spearheaded a bacon festival in August 2013. The event was advertised as follows:

Fueled mostly by word of mouth via social media sites, this highly anticipated event brought more crowds than expected, leading to long lines (upwards of 45 minutes), many trucks selling out long before the end of the event, inadequate seating, and a lot of really unhappy customers. Widely panned on the event's FB page and on Yelp, the criticism eventually caused organizers to publically apologize and to offer refunds for those that wanted one. Due to these experiences, organizers have not yet decided if they are going to try doing this festival again.
