The museum calls itself the "
Miracle of America Museum". Outside, at the rear of the museum, is a huge and eclectic collection of things mechanical, such as howitzers, stationary engines, farm implements, industrial equipment, cars, trucks and tractors.
One of the items in the collection is this Minneapolis Moline Model RTU row crop tractor. It bears engine serial number 62292 and the name plate tells is that it has a four cylinder (gasoline) engine with a bore and stroke of 3 5/8 X 4 1/2 inches.
The RTU was made from 1939 to 1954 and is the tricycle variant of the Model R. It produced a tested 23.9 HP at the drawbar and 27.09 at the belt. It weighs 3,100 pounds and had 4 forward speeds with 1 reverse.
