Monsignor Ferdinand Schroffel von Schroffenheim (1645-1702) was prelate and Canon of Oloumouc' Chapter, parish priest at St. Moritz in Olomouc, titular bishop of Sebasta and celebrating bishop of Olomouc.
Olomouc is unique by its church' district with 14 palaces of canons of the Metropolitan Chapter of St. Wenceslas - depicted and waymarked Baroque "Residentia Schroffeliana" is one of them. "Residentia Schroffeliana" in Wurmova Street 13, has a Renaissance and Gothic core with an oriel chapel in the rear wing. The front and side wing, with their Early Baroque stucco ceilings, were built around 1680 under the canon Ferdinand, Baron Schroffel von Schroffenheim. According to the plaque in the passage, the rebuilding of the residence started on 24th April 1679.
