Long Description:
The Ev. Luth. Marktkirche St. Georgii et Jacobi is the oldest in Altstadt von Hannover. It was built between 1340-1360, on the site where there was already the Roman Church of St. Georgii, which was brought down for the new building. It was partly destroyed by a fire in 1943, and re-built between 1946-1952. The tower is 97m high and a landmark of Hannover.
