This zinc headstone marks the grave of Hiram Geren, a Tennessee native. Mr. Geren's obituary reads:

Geren - At his home, four miles east of Salem, from cancer of the face, Sunday morning, April 16, 1893, Hiram Geering, aged 73 years.
Deceased leaves a wife and seven children. The funeral services were conducted at the residence at 11:30 a.m. yesterday and the remains were interred in the Lee Mission cemetery." -Oregon Statesman, April 18, 1893
