"A 5 de Dezembro de 1897, era inaugurado em Tomar o coreto da Várzea Pequena.
As bandas filarmónicas de Tomar bem como a Banda do Regimento de Infantaria nº 15 actuaram ali inúmeras vezes, sendo um ponto de encontro da sociedade tomarense sobretudo nas tarde de domingo.
Em 1997 o coreto foi mandado restaurar pela Câmara de Tomar na oficina Tonera, situada na Zona Industrial de Tomar.
Cada vez com menos utilização, o coreto da Várzea Pequena mantém-se como símbolo de uma época e de uma vivência."

"The December 5, 1897, was inaugurated in Tomar the Varzea Pequena bandstand.
The philharmonic bands of Tomar and the Band of the Infantry Regiment No. 15 acted there numerous times, being a meeting point of Tomar society especially in Sunday afternoon.
In 1997 the bandstand was sent to restore by the City Hall of Tomar in Tonera workshop, located in the Industrial Zone of Tomar.
Less and less use, the Varzea Pequena bandstand stands as a symbol of an era and an existence."
