The Black Duck Brewing Company was founded by Kate and Al, and has been at its current location since 2011.
The brewery produces a wide range of regular beers from the mid-strength Summer Swallow through to the robust Phoenix Migration Stout. They also serve apple cider and soft drink.
It serves a range of food, including Ploughman's lunch.
The 'cellar door' is open on Thursday and Friday (11am until 6pm) and Saturday and Sundays (11am until 4pm).
You can sample the beers in 200ml glasses and buy bottles over the counter.
The beer is also served at a number of local and Newcastle bars and is sold in some bottle shops in 345 ml bottles.
