Kamenná barokní boží muka mají podobu typickou pro tuto cást Vysociny.

Kamenná boží muka se v Evrope objevují v gotice, vrcholu svého rozšírení dosáhla v baroku. V té dobe se zacínají objevovat zdená boží muka pilírového typu, která v 19. století témer nahradila starší sloupkový typ. Obe formy predstavují sloup, u kterého byl pred svým ukrižováním pripoután a bicován Ježíš Kristus. Nekdy bývají proto dekorována symboly Kristova utrpení (dutky, kopí, hreby a pod.). Vztycována byla i jako podekování za záchranu pri nemocech a neštestích. V krajine casto predstavovala výrazný orientacní bod na okrajích obci, vrcholcích pahorku ci na križovatkách cest.
