Die Skulptur (Höhe 2,70 m, Breite 5,00 m,Tiefe 2,50 m) steht auf einer mittlerweile zur Grünanlage umfunktionierten Stadtbrache. Durch ihre vier "Füße" assoziiert die truhenhafte Skulptur ein großes Tier: Boeuf - das französische Wort für Ochse, und Boeuf Bourgignon ist die Bezeichnung für ein französisches Fleischgericht. Die Skulptur von Ulf Duschat steht in der Tradition der abstrakten Metallbildhauerei der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Ihre heterogene Formenstruktur stellt sie in den Kontext eines bildhauerischen Collage-Prinzips.

Auftraggeber: Die Kommunale Galerie Wilmersdorf unterstützte die Entstehung der Arbeit (1991-1993) sowie deren Dokumentation und Präsentation an verschiedenen Orten (Güntzelstraße, Lehrter Straße, Frankfurter Tor). Die großformatige Metallskulptur wurde 1994 in Hellersdorf aufgestellt. Zuvor hatte sie eine neue, im Unterschied zur Ursprungsfassung veränderte Farbigkeit erhalten, die heute von Graffiti fast unkenntlich geworden ist.

The sculpture (height 2.70 m, width 5.00 m, depth 2.50 m) stands on a greenery of a repurposed city wasteland. Through its four "feet" associated the chest-like sculpture, a large animal: Boeuf - the French word for ox, and Boeuf Bourgignon is the name of a French meat dish. The sculpture by Ulf Duschat stands in the tradition of abstract metal sculpture of the second half of the 20th century. Their heterogeneous structure form puts them in the context of a sculptural collage principle.

Purchaser: The Municipal gallery Wilmersdorf supported the creation of the work (1991-1993) as well as their documentation and presentation in various places (Güntzelstraße, Lehrter Straße, Frankfurter Tor). The large-size metal sculpture was erected in Hellersdorf 1994. Previously, she had received a new, unlike the original version altered color, which has become almost unrecognizable graffiti today
