The village of Nedelište is situated in a saddle valley of the brook Olšovka, which runs through the village from the north to the south.
The first report of the village Nedelište comes from the deed of gift of the first Czech king Vratislav to the Opatovice abbey dating from 1073. The castle in Horní Nedelište was built in place of the former fort by Karel Ferdinand Dobrenský before 1748.
