As the plaque reads:

In memory of the settlers in the Ellisboro and neighboring districts who through determination and efforts established an active community life with Ellisboro as its cener.

1881 The first recorded worship service was at the Qu'Appelle River crossing.

1883 JH Ellis opened a general store and post office, in operation until March 31, 1967.

1884 A community log hall was erected for social functions and church services.

1888 The Ellisboro Cemetery land was given by the Ellis Family. The first burial therin was that of George Ellis, November 18, 1888.

1894 The Ellisboro Presbyterian (Later United) Church was built.

1894 Trevodale Private School was opened.

1897 St. John the Baptist Anglican Church was built.

1899 The Orange Hall was constructed and in 1954 purchased as a community center.

1934 Because of the Depression the only Rural Saskatchewan High School was opened and operated until 1942.
