In Framingham, along Route 9, is the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency's headquarters, which has a set of bushes on a slope that read 'MEMA.'

The bushes are visible from Route 9. The headquarters are located about 1 mile east of the intersection of Route 9 and Main Street at Framingham Center. It is better to approach from the east and park across the street as there is better parking. There are gates at the MEMA site itself. On the eastbound side, you could pull off by the state police barracks next to it. There is a sidewalk along the highway.

MEMA is the state agency that prepares for and reacts to events that pose risk to the population. They are the communication center for events such as hurricanes and snow storms and develop plans for many situations. See their web site at:
