The Perry Disc Golf Club (donated and maintained by the Rotary Club), is on the west side of Rotary Park. Parking and Hole #1 are next to Country Road. A sign at Hole #1 has the following text:

The Perry Rotary Club has given eight holes the name of a Perry Rotarian. Current and deceased members are honored for their unselfish service to the community, state and country. The remaining hole recognizes the contributions of the Masonic Lodge.

The First Hole:

Dr. Martin's Rotary Wheel
Dr. Charles Martin

Dr. Charles Martin M.D. served our area as a family physician, delivering over 1700 babies in our community. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1941 and received his medical degree from Oklahoma University in 1948. He served as a doctor in the Korean War.
Dr. Charles Martin has served the Rotary as President, but we all think of him as our song leader, leading songs like:

"That Rotary Wheel"
Serve the power that makes it go round,
Serve and each one with joy will rebound,
Blends Personalities,
Binds Nationalities,
That Rotary Wheel!

Rotary Member since 1953
Member of the First Baptist Church
Charles' Rotary Ann: Marjorie
Location: Rotary Park
