Morewood Presbyterian Church is now the only church in Morewood and surrounding area. We are a small friendly congregation, very welcoming to all who come through our doors. Members come from Ottawa, Crysler, Embrun and Morewood areas.
The church was built by a group of dedicated Presbyterians who had been meeting in various homes in the area; their wish for a church of their own was met when Mr. James Fraser donated a parcel of land, and the church was opened for services in 1870. There was also, and continues to be, a burial ground around the building.
A memorial service is held annually on the 2nd Sunday in June.
