Tower of Light has stood neglected for many years, new led lighting has been installed, and a seat has been constructed around the base topped with six colourful mosaics, designed by Terry Hummel.
"The new system of LEDs will illuminate the sculpture from within, and change colors like the Lake Eola fountain and the spire of the Amway Center. It will be lit every night.
The group also added a new base to the art piece where people will be able to sit. Terry Hummel, an Orlando artist and visual arts columnist for the Orlando Sentinel, produced six mosaic panels that ring the base." Text Source: (
