The bronze sculpture is one of a series of three identical cast by Roy Shifrin, a renowned New York sculptor and artist.

This larger than life, abstract horse, weighs nearly a ton.

"The horse was inspired by the traditional American weathervane horses that were used as weather forecasting tools in the 17th and 18th centuries. Originally located at Cypress Gardens, one of Florida’s original, leading theme parks, the horse was acquired by Orange County when Cypress Gardens closed and now stands at the entrance to the newer half of the Center."
