This is a relatively new park, inaugurated on the 5th December 1999 by the king, built where a sugar factory used to be.
It's very well located, in the center of Bangkok, by the river, attracting both locals and tourists. Nearby one can visit the Phra Sumane and spot the Rama VIII bridge.
There is a nice gazebo built in traditional Thai style and plenty of seating near the waterfront. To the left, facing the river, there is a public boat pier accessible from the park.
