This is a 58 hectare park, located in a central area of Bangkok. It was built during the 20's of the 20th Century by king Rama VI on Royal grounds. Large as it is, it has several gates, being the main one in Rama IV road (provided coordinates). It's served by plenty of buses and by the two metro networks of the city. Actually there is a MRT station with its name: Lumpini station.
In 2013 it gained further historical significance as it became the headquarters of demonstrators protesting against the Government. It was then transformed into the so called "City of Tends", hosting large thousands of protesters who lived in the park for more than a year.
