This metal marker is on the eastern grounds of the Yell County Courthouse. The marker is attached to a cut stone plinth. The text of the marker reads:

This memorial has a very prominent place on the eastern lawn of the Yell County Courthouse, next to the American flagpole. This is one of several memorials on this very historic Courthouse grounds.
