Veazie Dam is a concrete dam that spans the Penobscot River. It connects the towns of Veazie and Eddington, Maine. The current dam was constructed in 1913 for the purpose of electrical power generation. It is 1072 feet long and 20 feet tall. The site has also been the location of previous dams for sawmill purposes, including a timber dam that stretched across and river and before that multiple wing dams that extended from the river bank. The dam has an attached hydroelectric station called the Veazie Power Station. The dam has been purchased by a river restoration trust and is planned to be removed.
