Built in 1971 as the Stittsville Arena, the name was changed to Johnny Leroux Stittsville Community Arena on March 14, 2011. The name change recognized the contributions of local resident John Leroux for his dedication to amateur and recreational sports.

The arena is busy in the winter for various hockey and public skating venues. The arena/hall also offers fitness classes and seasonal camps.

This arena is closed for maintenance until July 2, 2014.
