The Stittsville Cenotaph was constructed in 1982 and dedicated on June 26, 1982 in memory of those who died in World War I, World War II and the Korean War. Four Americans donated the obelisk from the people of the US, as well as offering to build the backdrop walls.

Every year a short parade from the Legion Hall on Stittsville Main Street precedes the Remembrance Day services at the Cenotaph.
